Privacy Policy

Effective 26 July 2026

In short: We collect your phone number, name, and location to connect you with local professionals. When you post a task, your name and contact details are shared with nearby professionals who offer that service. When you call a professional through Aidavo, that call is recorded, transcribed, and summarised by AI, and we tell you this on-screen right before you dial. We don't sell your personal data to anyone.

This Privacy Policy explains how Aidance Avocation Tech Private Limited, operating the Aidavo platform ("Aidavo", "we", "us"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information about customers who use aidavo.com and the Aidavo app to find and contact local service professionals ("Partners"). It applies to your use of Aidavo as a customer.

Partners go through a separate onboarding process on a separate platform, including identity verification, which is governed by its own Partner Privacy Policy published on that platform — this Policy covers what happens to your data as a customer, not a Partner's onboarding data.

This Policy is written with reference to the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPDI Rules") — which continue to govern personal data handling in India — read alongside the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") as its provisions come into force.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Account information

  • Your mobile number, used to sign you in via a one-time password (OTP).
  • Your name, which you provide when you first sign up.
  • Optionally, your email address, age, and gender, if you choose to add them from your profile settings, or an email address if you provide one while posting a task.

1.2 Location information

We use your location to show you professionals near you and to let nearby professionals respond to tasks you post.

  • What we collect: when you sign in, and again when you post a task, we ask your browser for your precise GPS location (with your permission). We convert it into a readable address and store it against your account.
  • How precise: this is your device's GPS-level location at the moment you granted permission — not continuous or background tracking. We don't track your movement once that moment has passed.
  • Who can see it: your saved locations are visible only to you, under "Address book" in account settings, where you can also delete them. A professional only sees your approximate area (not your exact saved address) when you post a task or contact them — see Section 4.
  • Your choice: declining location access doesn't block you from usingAidavo — you can search by manually picking a city or area instead.

1.3 Calls, messages, and AI-generated call analysis

Aidavo lets you call a professional directly through the platform without revealing your real number to them.

  • You're told before it happens: the in-app screen you see right before a call connects tells you, in plain text, that the call will be recorded and analysed by AI. This isn't only mentioned here in the Policy — it's shown to you again, every time, at the moment you're about to call.
  • What happens to the recording: the call is recorded, the recording is transcribed to text, and an AI model reads the transcript to produce a short summary — what you were looking for, what services or pricing were discussed, and whether anything needs following up on. This is stored against both your account and the professional's account.
  • Who transcribes and analyses it: transcription is performed by a third-party speech-to-text provider, and the summary is generated by a third-party AI model, both acting strictly as our data processors under contract — see Section 5 for what that means in practice.
  • Can you avoid it: yes — if you'd rather a conversation not be recorded, don't use the in-app calling feature for it; message or call the professional outsideAidavo instead once you already have their number through another channel.

We do this so that we can:

  • Step in and help if a call goes badly, or a dispute comes up later;
  • Detect spam, harassment, or fraudulent behaviour on either side;
  • Understand which professionals are responsive and easy to work with; and
  • Improve how we match you with the right professional in future.

If you message a professional on WhatsApp using the number Aidavo reveals to you, that conversation happens directly between you and the professional on WhatsApp — we don't see or store the content of those messages.

2. How we obtain your consent

Under the SPDI Rules, certain categories of data (which can include precise location) call for your written consent before collection. Under Section 6 of the DPDP Act, consent must be free, specific, informed, unconditional, and given through a clear affirmative action — not implied by simply continuing to browse the app.

  • When you sign up, you actively confirm your agreement to this Policy and our Terms & Conditions using an on-screen checkbox before your account is created. We record the exact date and time of that confirmation.
  • If your account was created before this checkbox existed, we'll ask you to confirm it the next time you sign in, the same way.
  • Location access and the in-app calling feature each ask for your permission at the point we need it (your browser's location prompt; the on-screen recording notice before a call) — you can decline either without losing access to the rest of Aidavo, though declining will limit what that specific feature can do for you (e.g. less relevant search results without location, or you'd need to contact a professional outside the app instead of using in-app calling).
  • Signing up and using the core marketplace (search, contact, post a task) requires the data described in Section 1 — this is necessary to provide the service itself, similar to how a phone number is necessary for OTP login. Optional/marketing cookies are handled separately — see Section 6.

You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting saved locations, declining a future location prompt, avoiding the calling feature, or closing your account entirely — see Section 8 for how.

3. How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account, and verify you via OTP.
  • To show you relevant professionals and let you search, filter, and contact them.
  • To connect you with professionals when you call, message, or post a task.
  • To record, transcribe, and analyse in-app calls for safety, quality, and dispute resolution (see 1.3).
  • To send you service-related communications (OTPs, task updates, support replies).
  • To detect and prevent fraud, spam, and misuse of the platform.
  • To improve Aidavo — understanding what people search for, where demand is, and where we fall short.
  • To comply with legal obligations, and to enforce our Terms & Conditions.

4. Nearby Leads — sharing with professionals you haven't contacted

This section calls out something important on its own, rather than burying it: posting a task on Aidavo is different from directly contacting a professional.

  • When you post a task describing what you need done, your name, your approximate location, and whichever contact method(s) you selected (phone call, WhatsApp number, and/or email) are shared as a "lead" with nearby professionals who offer that service — including professionals you have never contacted or spoken to. This is how Aidavo lets multiple professionals respond to a single task.
  • When you directly call, WhatsApp, or email a specific professional instead of posting a task, only that one professional receives your details, not other nearby professionals.
  • Only the contact method(s) you actively choose when posting the task are shared — if you don't select WhatsApp, your WhatsApp number isn't included, and so on.
  • You can close or withdraw an open task at any time from "Your tasks" in account settings, which stops new professionals from seeing it (professionals who already viewed it may retain what they already saw).

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal data. Beyond the Nearby Leads sharing in Section 4, we share it only in these situations:

  • With a professional you directly contact — the details relevant to that contact (your name, and the phone/WhatsApp/email you used or chose to share, plus your approximate location).
  • With service providers who run Aidavo on our behalf — cloud hosting and database storage, telephony and call-recording infrastructure, speech-to-text transcription, AI analysis of call transcripts, maps/geocoding, and transactional email delivery. Each of these providers is contractually restricted to using your data only to perform its specific function for us — they are not permitted to use, share, or sell your data for their own independent purposes. Some of these providers (including our AI transcript-analysis provider) process data on servers located outside India.
  • With advertising/analytics partners (Meta, Google) — limited technical and usage data, as described in Section 6, to measure and improve our marketing.
  • Publicly, if you leave a review — your name (or a masked phone number) and written feedback are shown publicly on the reviewed professional's profile page, visible to anyone, including people who aren't signed in.
  • When required by law — to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Aidavo, our users, or the public.
  • In a business transfer — if Aidavo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal, subject to this Policy continuing to apply.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google AdSense — help us understand how people find Aidavo and show relevant ads elsewhere on the web. These run on every page load; the providers may set their own cookies and collect device/browser information under their own privacy policies (linked from their sites).
  • A cookie set by Google Translate if you use our on-page translation option, to remember your language choice.
  • Standard sign-in session cookies, needed to keep you logged in securely — these are essential and can't be disabled without breaking sign-in.

You can limit Meta/Google's tracking using your browser's cookie/tracking-protection settings, or industry opt-out tools (e.g. Meta's and Google's own ad-preference pages).Aidavo does not currently show a cookie-preference banner in-app; we're relying on this disclosure and your browser-level controls in the meantime.

7. Data retention

Under Section 8(7) of the DPDP Act, we shouldn't keep your personal data longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected for. In practice, that means:

  • Account and profile data (name, email, age, gender): kept while your account is active.
  • Location history: kept until you delete it from your Address book, or your account is deleted.
  • Call recordings, transcripts, and AI analysis: kept for up to 12 months from the call date, for safety and dispute-resolution purposes, unless a specific dispute or legal requirement needs it kept longer.
  • Tasks and lead data: kept while the task is open, and for up to 12 months after it's closed.
  • Reviews: kept as long as the reviewed Partner's profile is active, or until you ask us to remove your review.

You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data tied to it at any time — see Section 8. We may retain limited records after that where the law requires it (for example, to defend a legal claim).

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data (SPDI Rule 5(6); DPDP Act correction rights);
  • Withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g. location, marketing) at any time;
  • Ask us to delete your account and associated personal data; and
  • Raise a grievance about how we've handled your data (see Section 10).

You can update your name, email, age, and gender directly from your account settings, and manage or remove saved locations from your Address book. For anything else — including deleting your account — write to us at admin@aidavo.com from your registered contact details, and we'll act on it promptly. Withdrawing consent or deleting your account may mean we can no longer provide you the service.

9. Data security

We use reasonable security practices and procedures, consistent with the SPDI Rules, including encrypted connections, access controls on our systems, and restricting who inside Aidavo can access personal data. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your information safe and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

10. Children's privacy

Aidavo is intended for people 18 years and older. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

11. Third-party links

Aidavo may link to third-party sites (e.g. a professional's own website, or social media). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — please review their own policies.

12. Grievance officer

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the SPDI Rules, and rules made thereunder, for any questions, complaints, or grievances regarding your personal data or this Policy, please contact:
